Coaching for Positive Change

Conflict coaching is directed at improving a client's ability to understand conflict, interact more effectively and strategically in conflict situations, and to develop improved conflict skills. Conflict competency is a core competency for business leaders today.

Positive Conflict Coaching is grounded in positive psychology, which emphasizes strengths and positive experiences to enhance skills. Our coaches create conditions under which our clients can build upon their strengths and succeed.

Building on Strengths

  • Capacity Building. Developing capacity for managing conflict can enhance a leader's opportunity for success and even advancement. Leaders spend much of their time managing people. Effectively managing people includes managing conflict effectively.
  • Situation specific coaching.  Short-term situation specific coaching can assist in determining the optimum approach for maximum results.
  • Disruptive behavior and bullying impacts targets and bystanders. With healthy workplace laws being enacted in many states, and the effects of disruptive behavior being identified, coaching for change can improve morale, decrease liability, and create healthier workplaces.
  • Avoid serious effects on the organization. Coaching when a situation is first identified may avoid escalation to a major problem that can cost significant resources in terms of time, money, and morale.
