Coaching

Coaching for leadership is an important part of today's business world. An organization that fails to develop and nurture emerging leaders can lose its competitive edge. Whether coaching a high level executive or a mid-level manager, DisputEd's goal is to enhance strengths and improve capabilities where development is necessary.

Individual Coaching

  • to provide for strong succession planning
  • to develop growth strategies for new and seasoned managers
  • for leaders to develop a broad understand of their role in making the organization more effective, and in developing individual goals to achieve success
  • when capabilities fall short of expectations in a particular area but overall performance is high
  • to fine tune skills of a variety of types in order to step up to the next level
  • to ensure that the skills to lead up, down and across the organization are in place
Implementation
  1. The Initial Assessment - Determining your needs is the first step. This will include an initial interview with the person who is to be coached and may include interviews with others to determine perceptions of needs. Assessment instruments such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator © or the Conflict Dynamics Profile (TM) may be used to assist in defining the areas for development.

  2. Matching - You will be matched with a coach who can provide you with the right services for your needs. Style, experience, knowledge, and ability to establish a good working relationship are keys to a good match.

  3. Establishing Goals and Objectives - Developing the coaching plan is the next essential step. Clearly defined goals and achievable and measurable objectives will be established collaboratively with your coach. A timeline will be developed and, over the course of the coaching relationship, an action plan will be created to help you achieve your immediate objectives.

  4. Scheduling - You and your coach will determine together what combination of face-to-face and voice sessions are most appropriate for you and your objectives. One of the benefits of coaching is that real-life issues can be addressed in real-time, with guidance and support of another highly experienced business professional.
