About Mediation

Mediation addresses the needs of those involved in the process. In mediation, each person has the opportunity to talk about what is important to them. The mediator encourages active participation in both the process and in determining options that inform the outcome.

Mediation is routinely used for a wide range of disputes such as workplace, business, organizational, and interpersonal issues, whether or not they involve lawyers or courts. In the workplace, mediation may be used to explore options to resolve grievances, facilitate difficult discussions and resolve issues within or between teams, and assist in resolving conflict between individual contributors and leaders, for example. In business and commercial cases, mediation can be used to resolve contract disputes, personal injury claims, business partner conflict, and much more.
